I have ordered some WTB resolute tyres for a more offroad tyre.

Where the fuck was that when I was rolling 650's. That looks spot on. Though I have to say, I still can't over how great the G-ones are still.

G ones will be the general purpose tyre. Resolute when planning on riding >50% offroad. The resolutes get fantastic reviews

Build a second wheelset that's what I'm going to do. 700c for mud and 650c for 'all road'

Other way round is more logical, no? Fat tires on small rims for mud, slimmer tires on big rims for gravel?

Narrow 700c cross tyres for mud with 50mm 650b semi slicks for gravel id assume

I'd be keen to know what the clearance is like when you've built this up, I was thinking about a set of these but I thought I read somewhere the clearance for 650b was 40mm

Oh perfect, will have to find somewhere with these in stock then! They seem to be have dropped off of CRC and sigma annoyingly. Nice one on the wheel build btw they look great

There might be a few smaller 650b WTB gravel tires options on the horizion ('scuse the pun). Might take a while to filter through to aftermarket though.

Finally got a frame and built it up

Position needs dialling in, bars probably 1cm too high. Saddle a fraction too high. Shifter position to be sorted. Steerer to be reduced. Mudguards to be fitted. Bars to be taped. Possible shakedown ride tomorrow.

Nice! You got room for mudguards with the G-ones? Also, stem is 10°?

Rotors with 4 arm rings are interesting. Are you fitting guards?
Dropping the stem 1cm or a greater angled one?

Drop stem by 1cm. Bars will be moved to a flatter position.

Stem is 0 degree.
