Pasela? Y?!

Marathon supreme?
-
• #755
Yeah but why not a proper road tyre? Like Vittoria graphene or schwalbe pro one, if you are not installing guards, simworks vollumy
-
• #756
A23's and gravelkings on my pacer make for such a nice ride, i'd recommend the gk's over pasela. also fyi you can fit a 35mm tire w/o guards if that's how you're planning to run it.

Suspension users:
What 100mm travel, 1 1/8, 26” qr disc fork should I be buying for LadyLiz’s Troll? For bikepacking and off road pootling in general.
I have never had a bike with bouncy stuff so easy maintenance would be nice. -
• #761
you can buy them here: https://www.radbikes.co.uk/
or if you are not into tubeless, just slick gravel kings

Cheers dude.

surly pack rat

Looks a bit like an elephant and ticks same boxes as cross check?
Rim brakes on a bike that can take loads of racks seems a bit dated. Was hoping for a new pacer, not another do-anything bike :/
-
• #765
The pacer replacement is the ‘Midnight Special’ apparently. Drop bar road bike with big clearances.
-
• #766
Oh well that’s ok then!
Is there pics/specs yet? Not that I can afford one. -
• #767
Well it's a all city space horse with diferent color and 650b wheels but surly long toptube. I already have a troll and a straggler and i don't see me in any future buying a pack rat.
-
• #768
Eurgh if I wanted 650b I’d buy a straggler. All 3 of my surlys need to see more action so will just keep half an eye out for a pacer frame.

This is so unbelievably meh

Designers phoned that one in I reckon

So, I have just picked up a cheap Disc Trucker fork for my Straggler frame. (previous fork stolen)
The A-C is 10mm shorter on this fork, will I burst into flames? Lo-Pro Straggler?
Or it will make it a little more twitchy due to head tube angle and I'll survive?

put a bigger tyre on the front, reversed. Quick science

I managed to score a tidy 2nd hand pacer. This will be my only road bike and I want it to be a jack of all trades. Able to keep up on a fast club run, long day rides, trainer, maybe the odd canal/forest path.
I also fancy doing a slightly idiosyncratic build and putting some tasty bits on this pacer. My original plan was Dura ace 9000, now I'm wondering about a sram 1x setup. Any Racer Pacers on here? -
• #774
Dura ace 9000 cranks + calipers
Narrow wide chainring
Sram everything else?
Some tasty wheels and finishing kit.

You lucky bastard! I'm keeping my eyes peeled for a 50 or 52. If I ever find one definitely 1x.
Look forward to seeing it whichever way you go.
Rad. I’m fighting the urge to build a pacer I’d never ride.
