I really like this shot. I've struggled with the topic. I thought of images of transport but none said 'journey'. Yet here's an image which says it in spades. There's ambiguity; is it the start or end of a journey for the passengers on the cruiser? Or the final leg or even their destination. Clearly land is close. I note the detachment of the dog walkers on their own domestic journey who appear not to have noticed the gigantic floating hotel filling the sky and reflected in the sea around them. Most of all I like that part of the cruiser is cut from the shot. Is it about to appear? Or have we missed it? Great shot. Love it.

Thanks, glad you like it, I was in Trieste last week - the light was so clear and lovely at night, but my only concern with the image was that it looks too commercial, like a page from a Cunard brochure!

You're walking down the high street, turn a corner and there's a sodding great big ship on the other side of the road, all totally normal if you live there I suppose!
