@spotter Yep you're right it does look short, but it is in fact perspective, as it bends outwards towards the camera ;)

Aha amazing thanks. I am building a GT karakoram (1991 elite) as it happens and will probably get one. Probably going for canti on the front but I assume I will be able to wrangle the rack so as not to foul the straddle cable.

Nice, what a coincidence! It depends i guess, but always fun with a bit of hacks and bodges on a build.
