• Popped into Red Army Watches in Singapore. Really liked the Zeppelin for its vintage look. The Sturmanskie is cool for being a replica of the first watch in space (this is contested). The Itay Noy was bonkers, handmade by only one guy with a full custom movement. If you find yourself in Singapore I recommend going there the manager was a great guy really enthusiastic

  • It is my understanding the contention is only between the definition of "worn in space". Although Gagarin wore the Sturmanskie when piloting Vostok 1, it was the Poljot Strela worn on the wrist of Leonov for the first space walk, therefore suggesting that the Strela is the true competitor of the Speedmaster (or the other way round?) in that it was worn in open space rather than the safety and relative comfort of a spaceship.
