Out if curiousity I read up on not killing weeds... there are types you can use where you seed underneath, your crops come up, these are larger than weeds, you grab the lot, the weeds replenish soil, success result profit.
Doesn't work for all crops, but for things like wheat it does. The Dutch ages ago did this with clover...the yields soared (well it was a few hundreds years ago) as clover ploughs nitrogen back in the ground.
[yeah i am thinking about a veggie garden, hence the why do i ever know this factoid..]
although i'm sure bayer merk dow monsanto are bribing politicians left right and centre to stop the ban ( allegedly )
