potentially interested - how tall are you?
edit: hm, just checked out mtb sizing and this is probably too small for me at 6ft5 :(

Hmmmm - i like. Provisional dibs
How tall are you out of interest? I'm guessing this can go a fair bit either way??

I'm 5'10 ish and is bang on for me with flat bars. I actually had it setup with drops for a while and it was a touch long then. It has a long toptube so could deffinately be ridden by someone taller with a longer stem, or if you wanted to try it in monstercross flavour:

Hmmm I do really like it - although it's for a friend who's 5'7" :/
probs a bit too big, what are your thoughts?

Might be a stretch. If he can get to Westminster he's welcome to throw a leg over and see. Saddle clearly can come down a lot, so depends if he's longer in the upper body.

Ok cool - I'll chat to my friend... They're based in Richmond so perhaps a test in Kingston would make more sense. I'll get back to you asap

Hi second Dibs here ! Very interested in getting this.
-
• #9
3rd dibs please if possible
-
• #10
Cool. I had a dibs via PM so Cryptthing is still 1st in line, PM has 2nd, while Labjocasse has third and babapapa in 4th.
If folks towards the top of that list could sort out if they want to come and have a go on it or pass that would be grand.

Hey mate, gonna undibs - turns out my friend is more like 5'6 than 5'7 - so at this size it's just wishful thinking I reckon :)
GLWS!

• #14
how's the dibbing going on this?

Still keen.
I think it's too late to arrange for me to get Westimster tonight though and I'm busy tomorrow. Any chance of a Westminster meet over the weekend?
I'll try and cancel what I had on tomorrow afternoon but I doubt I'd be able to make definite plans to meet until after lunchtime.

So-old!
Thanks Scrabble, it was pleasure to deal with you.
For sale is my Genesis Fortitude - 19inch.
I'm asking £300
(More photos and geometry below)
I've converted it from its original adventure mountain bike state into a commuter capable of going anywhere. It is adorned with:
Alfine 8 hub gear - Still going strong, serviced myself around a year ago.
SRAM Stylo GXP crankset
Velocity Blunt 35mm rims - These things are wide so give the tyres a great profile
Deore front hub
Schwalbe Big Apple 2X2.15 tyres - Still loads of life left and roll surprisingly well for a big slick.
Radial Mudguards with DIY rubber flaps (rear has a small snapped bit at the back but it's been like that since I put the flaps on 2 years ago.
Avid BB7 MTN disk brakes with proper Avid levers. Recent new pads.
Genesis saddle, bars and seatpost and generic stem.
Cheap but functional front rack
Extras
Knobbly tyres (On One Smorgasboard front (good condition) and Continental Mountain King rear (well used) both folding.
For another £5 I'll throw in the bag and bungee cord.
Not included:
Pedals
Carbon bar ends
Lights
Tagalong Trailgator mount on the seatpost
It's a smashing bike. Gets lots of comments out and about. I've used it as a commuter, mountain bike and child carrier (with wee-ride and Trailgator) and it excels at everything. Selling as I've got itchy feet for another project and it is one in one out at present.
Condition is decent. Frmae has numerous scrapes and scrtaches and it generally shows signs of use up close, however functionally it is still all doing what it should. No major rust issues, but some spots could do with a rubdown and touch up (couldn't we all).
Collection during the week from Central (work in Westminster) Kingston outside working hours. Can post if the buyer wants to arrange courier.
