That looks really nice, especially the version with only one bridge in the middle.
Re making racks for others, where are you located? -
• #78
well there is maybe a problem, I live in Vilnius, Lithuania. and can make racks only custom fit locally, and adjustable abroad.. its a bit sad cause custom fit looks much better, but bad thing then you need to change bike
btw just few days ago tried welding stainless steel and wow, so impressed, strong nice and paintless :D -
• #79
made few racks fully adjustable, and can take fork mid eyelets, plus smaller then always.
perhaps should go for brazing then tig welding, for better aesthetics -
• #80
btw yesterday got this frame. its nice that its big, but without fork, and all forks i have are to short,so maybe someone have benotto fork or some other with steerer 22+cm long?

I've always wondered if it would be possible to make a narrow front rack with "wings" that fold out or up to create a bigger flat platform. Likewise with a rear rack it would be interesting if folding struts could be integrated to support awkward loads that are strapped to the side of the rack. Might be an interesting design challenge?

...And when in the downward position the side parts can be used to carry pannier bags. That sounds like a nice idea!
By the way the racks in this thread are all pretty thaught through and damn well made. Keep going!

Wow them racks. I'm about to change all racks (front, rear and low rider) on my touring rig. Also would need a set (except the low rider) for my daily. Pleeeease consider making some for me! I'm located in Poland so we're neighbors ;)

Ooh, this thread has inspired me to give my touring bike some love. I'll form a plan then see what racks I need.
-
• #87
so great, that this thread can inspire!
today had beautiful day and went outside the city. that stem with nitto bars looks kind a bad, but comfy
-
• #88
Stem looks completely fine to me, not everybody needs half a meter of saddle to bar drop.

well today took shorter time trial frame. guy used it for daily commuting and after some years heat tube cracked about 2.5cm
so thinking to try to change head tube and tig weld new one, any opinions? btw cracked perhaps because of strange headset with very small insertion into Ht
btw two owners before it looked like that, liked that much

worth to make more for that pattern

entering full serial production now? looking nice & clean!
-
• #92
I can't tell its serial production. but have few racks sold and few racks available, so if someone is interested write me pm. (hope its not against forum rules?) platform is 30x20cm and stud are 295mm so perfect for adjustability up to 29er wheels
to say the true, its was adoptation of Rawland rack and thanks to @enghoff for patience

Yeah, I got mine and can truly say that I'm impressed with the finish, customer service and very fair price. Unfortunately I haven't had much time to get it out where it belongs the past few weeks but I'm looking forward to doing so when times comes back into my life again.
Would recommend. -
