Just came across this.
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/reflexcamera/reflex-bringing-back-the-analogue-slr-camera
I quite like the idea of the changeable film cartridge. I had a Contax RX that was able to rewind the film with the leader still out so you could change rolls whenever you wanted. Also, being able to use lenses from different manufactures is quite cool.

Came here to post the same thing. Looks cool, just not £400 gamble on a camera cool.

Seems like they will reach their target quite easily.

the changeable film cartridge
I wonder if you can switch back and forth with 2 half way through rolls or whether its for quicker loading while out and about in the light.
I've often found that I'm happy to shoot through a roll of B&W but sometimes there's just one shot you see that you wish you could have shot in colour.
You could of course carry 2 cameras -

She was loving it!

Anyone shooting 5x4 here?
I'm trying to muster the energy and enthusiasm to get back to a project I started last year about my late grandfather who I never really knew.
On the basis that quite a few shoots will require my 2y/o to be in tow 5x4 seems somewhat impractical.Edit; and at a fiver per frame for dev i'll need deep pockets

I was thinking you could half use and then change. That they probably have some type of dark slide in the film cartridge, though could be wrong.
I find it really useful not just for changing between b&w and colour, but also between slow and fast films, especially when you're on holiday.
I find if I take more than one camera out I take less pictures.

Yeah totally. I found that on holiday.
Shooting 100 because sunny and then it gets dark. My GF be like "oooh take a picture of that" and I'm all like "can't coz wrong film lol" -

Anyway, not a huge fan of the look of it, but it does have some cool features, and it's good to see people still pushing analogue. They're almost at their target on the second day.

I shoot 5x4 but only black and white! Keeps dev costs down.
-
• #14845
Do you Dev yourself?
-
• #14846
I do, Mod54 holder in a Paterson tank, it works well.
-
• #14847
What would you estimate costs to be? Say per 10 5x4 or whatever batches you work in
-
• #14848
6 sheets cost me around £3 worth of chemicals with Rodinal or £5 with Ilford DDX.
