We very lightly trim Fleurs claws when they need it. Her scratching post seems to get some, but not all of her nails.
We nip just the last 2-3 mm off which gets razor sharp. The only ones we trim a little harder are her thumb claws(can’t think what the name is) as they don’t get worn at all as an indoor kitty and she’s got them hooked together a couple of times during play.
She’s not a fan and it’s def a 2 person job, just have to go for it. She doesn’t seem too traumatised afterwards.
Vet said the cheap clippers are just fine if you’re cutting a tiny bit off.
