I have purchased some 'virtual' brevets and am currently trying to work out a flattish November-friendly 200k DIY in the Brizzle area. Extending the Jack and Grace Cotton 100k towards Tewkesbury looks promising, but will involve a lot of faffing through Gloucester

Last time I rode up that way I took the A38 to Hardwicke then B4008/Bristol Road, A4301, St Oswalds Road, Gouda Way, A430/Kingsholm Way and back onto the A38/Tewkesbury Road. A bit main roady south of Gloucester, but OK. Didn't like the A38 N of Glos though, would head out to Hartpury and Ashleworth next time.

Sounds good, I'll have a look. The bits of A38 between Thornbury and Gloucester remind me of trunk roads 20 years back (i.e. quieter) but I have no experience north of Gloucester. Lots of quiet looking lanes up there, but then you have to start thinking about ice as the year goes on I suppose.
