Anyone know any good Perms or perhaps previously used DIY routes near Minehead / Exmoor?
Can't help with that area (IanH's rides are probably the nearest: http://www.ukcyclist.co.uk/permanent-routes ) but AUK has been talking about a website redesign for ages, one of the items suggested was something to solve this issue. Ideally you'd be able to zoom in on a map of the UK and see the routes of all of the nearby rides (applying appropriate distance/hilliness filters) which link to the appropriate organiser/perm entry.
Right now finding Perm and Calendar rides is almost as obfuscated as TT course codes.

Valley of the Rocks is available as a perm and goes over Exmoor (http://www.aukweb.net/perms/detail/IH08/ - http://www.ukcyclist.co.uk/permanent-routes/20-valley-of-the-rocks-200)
Looks bloody tough though

I live in Bridgwater if you need any help here are some calendar rides to fit the bill:
Dunkery Dash/ valley of the rocks/ dustman daves demon Hilly/ there are a few others from Minehead during the season I just can't think of the names all pretty tame valley of the rocks is a good challenge probably not on Fixed I have done all the others on 68"
