  • Velvia has fuck all latitude, but if you're not sure about your exposure, IMO it looks better and scans better underexposed than it does overexposed.

    Or just bracket it...

(...and then optionally cry because you're shooting 6x7 and you only get 3 shots + 1 bonus all or nothing shot per roll)

  • I never found velvia very useful so gave up. It was quite fun processed in c41 (inverse xpro ftw).

I think we’ll all be better off when Fujifilm finally leave and let small factories committed to actual long-term business step in.

  • Hello I have just posted about a pinhole event being run by a photographic darkroom I am a member of and thought I would post it here as well for all you analogue enthusiasts

  • Epson flatbed users - is there a way to "multi-sample" when scanning, ie getting the scanner to do multiple exposures to retrieve more detail from the negative? I know this is possible with Nikon scanners.

  • From my countless hours of research and swearing at the thing, I gather it isn’t

  • Pretty sure I used to do this with my v700 and vuescan

  • Thinking about selling my Mamiya m645 Pro Super. It has the metered prism and hand grip/auto winder, also a spare back. 80mm lens. Thought I'd use it more but haven't so think I should sell rather then let it collect dust. I shot 2 rolls with it and both came out fine. I couldn't spot any issue with it while using it. 12 rolls of film is included too, 2 x portra 160, 5 x Ilford HP5 (expired), 5 x ektar (expired).

If anyone's interested I'd be after £300. Collection from ec1v only for now.

  • That was quick.

  • Yeah.. I think I prefer my compacts, just more portable and quicker to use.

  • Hi guys, I have a load of Canon stuff for sale, bodies, lenses and accessories, all in really mint condition.

I've listed it all on ebay, here is a link to my pages. If anyone wants any of it PM me and I'll end the eBay listing.... not sure this is allowed.... one way to find out.

  • as @lychee mentioned it, is there a theme of the week? otherwise, I really like the idea so we could introduce that.
perhaps rather theme of the month

  • I’ve been thinking about selling my RB67 for ages and this is very tempting!

  • A few from summer in Brazil here:

    Portra 160 and a FED 5B rangefinder
Got them Dev'd in Sao Paolo so not great scans but will print some much larger over here.

Anyone have a cheap colour film they'd recommend?

  • Leica iiif, random/old roll of HP5
