Nice work. Did you choose the paint, or does Matt's paint gun automatically do fades ;-)

I told Matt to have fun. Results are always better that way!

That's so nice! Did you take a frame building course? If so, with who?
-
• #11
Yep- with Darren Barber. Was a good low-key affair.
PM me for more details.
Is columbus zona, fork was a serious stretch time wise! -

And it's built. May get a rack, will get mudguards.
Ideas for mudguards?

Need that fork.
Whole thing looks rad af

Rack and mudguards needed but the whole thing is great.
I'd go with GB stainless guards.

Do you go for the 26" or the 700c for 650b?
Also how do you mount around the discs? -
• #16
YESSSSSS THAT IS SICK!
good to see my commuter split for such a wild ride

Rad, build really brings out the fade.
Would go for black racks and guards for more contrast.Could maybe use a set of bars with more sweep.

That paint makes this song play in my head

Mud Butlers would look good, not sure how easy they are to get hold of in the UK right now though.

you are going to pass that FSA seatpost to your grandchildren arent you?
So- I've been accruing a parts bin the size of a cupboard recently.
Isens 005+006- 53cm for the wife, 55cm for the poser.
She's slowly been riding more- influenced by a friend, and so this came about at a perfect chance to buy an anniversary present that she didn't really want, and to hopefully spur on more rides together- I am forever the optimist. Both are going to be built with SRAM eTap HRD, and probably on 650b wheels (and mudguards) - because- why not, though I have a lovely set of tarty deep discs in the spares pile.
A while ago- I brazed a frame- see later post for full write up- which I finally took over to @coldharbourt to assess(thank you) and paint (even more thank you)- and it has come out super fucking exciting. Again- thinking 650b wheels, and will have swept back bars, 1x from the spares cupboard (or maybe fixed), and hopefully a super functional thing for my now very dull commute across to Whitechapel.
The old Geekhouse lives on a farm and is fucking fantastic in everyway. Its pretty much done, but will at some point over/ after winter need to go for a rust assessment and re-spray with some additional bits brazed on.
The 3T looks like the below photo, lives on a farm and may well end up being sold- despite continually being fun.
The Talbot will now shift to becoming my Race/Summer/posing bike. It has the Deeps all set up and perfect with stupid fluro bar tape (which I'm probably going to swap to black) and is totally, 100% the only bike I actually need.
Anyways: photos attached. Don't expect many updates. I'm shit at that.
