Pubg getting xbone release soon

12th December. No idea how aiming is going to work with joypad, will be loads slower etc. If servers are cross platform it'll be carnage.

Also doing this. A real shame that they didn't get to finish the third chapter. Coming back to it I'm now also imagining an expansion pack that gave you more to do post game.

Haven't played Peace Walker but really hoping they re-release the old games for new consoles at some point...

Doubt TPP will ever get finished though, seeing as Konami/Kojima broke up. Now Konami are just turning it into some generic tower-defence game with Survive.

One thing that pisses me off is all the loading and time spent in the iDroid, managing all the staff etc. It can turn a quick late night session in to an hour of scrolling through menus and not sneaking up on dudes.

All matchmaking will be cross device (PC / Xbox) but only matched on input; Mouse and keyboard vs mouse and keyboard, controller vs controller.

Oh yeah totally, and I wouldn't buy an expansion now because #fuckonami.

Peace Walker is pretty decent. It shows that it was a mobile game as all the missions are little self contained areas that take 3-5 min to solve, but it lays out a lot of the ground work for what became MGSV. The only issue is that you're meant to level up your base by playing against other players which doesn't work any more, and this leaves the final boss fight needing a pretty perfect run, using 5 (the maximum) resuply drops and about 45 min to complete.

Getting back into the PS Vita recently (parenthood means very quick gaming sessions, something that thankfully we have handhelds for) and came across this gem of a remark on the Switch:

I still haven't completed it, although I was late to the party - only started playing it a year or so ago.

Actually, with Christmas coming up I may get well acquainted with the game again.

Plus players unknown coming out in December on xbox should be good.

I'm interested how the game will work on the xbox - looting and the accuracy of guns (they might even add aim assist?)

I've yet to complete Skyrim, and I've bought the game 3 times.
PS4 has gotten closest, finished the Dragonborn DLC, built a house, become a vampyre for a while (still need to have a go at werewolfing)
Actual game I've not companions yet, but did finish the wizard school bit.
Need to go back but DS2, Wolfensteins and Resi 7 are all on my recent pile of shame. Hard to go back when so much new is sitting there.

Ive been talked out of Skyrim.

PSVR bundles have universally gone up in price over the last two days which tells me that they will be doing Black Friday deals. I’ll get Skyrim on VR once I’ve finally pulled the trigger on the Black Friday £340 headset/camera/controller/tourismo bundle.

Anyone else tempted in the xbox one x, or whatever the hell it's called this week?

I've completed Skyrim twice, all missions, all quests, DLC, grinding to max levels of all abilities. Took over my life for about 18 months. Found myself playing it for a third time so took the disc outside and put it on the wall for some other fool to take.

Don't do Skyrim, kids.

What I don't understand is why Steam is only showing a few hundred hours on it for me? I swear I capped 1000... are the Steam clocks known to be buggy? Or do they only show 3 figures so I'm actually at 1300? I hardly played Phantom Pain but that's showing 127 hours. No way have I ONLY played Skyrim twice that amount.

I was pondering an Xbox One but there appear to be so many different variations out there that I couldn't be bothered to research what worked with what and gave up.

xbox one = original
xbox one s = slim version (same thing basically)
new xbox one x = updated higher spec console.

all play the same games, but some games are enhanced for the X

you'll want a big hdd as games take up a ton of space (you can expand with a usb hdd but easier to get a large one to tide you over).

Has anyone any opinions on what (pref PC) game has the most state-of-the-art/convincing combat AI? Working as teams etc. Research for personal coding project.

I have one on preorder, being delivered next week.

Cheers, it wasn't really clear whether all games were compatible with all consoles. Maybe I'll look at an S come black Friday.
