I can't remember if something interesting happened this morning. I've started getting up a bit earlier and stopped using the A4 to get into Chiswick.

Always a fan of the driver who see you and waves you on, but as you've slowed down already to avoid a collision, the driver decides you're to slow and just makes the turn anyway.

drivers are cunts. all of them.
And still the police are fining cyclists for RJLing around Holborn area. They have been there 3 days now and people are still dumb enough that they cant see the groups of them at intersections and run them anyway. also cunts.

Last night I got my first commuting p______e in years near Mile End climbing centre. My pump wouldn't work, so after 10 mins of trying to fix it I lobbed it in the bin and whipped my phone out to find one of those public pumps. Found one about 5 mins walk away, but that wouldn't work either, so called an Uber XL as I was getting late for my antenatal class. Then this morning my pump at home decided it didn't really want to seal on the valve any longer so I had to hold the head with one hand and pump the tyre up with the other hand. Fucking pumps. Is there a universal head replacement that's recommended?
Then this morning I had the temerity to ask a courier who made his lo-pro frame as it was a really nice looking shape, shiny in raw metal, a big T cut into the seatstay bridge and a nice curved gusset between inside of TT and ST, and he looked at me like I'd asked to fuck his mum. Soz mate, you're too busy to give me a straight answer, clearly.

If you have removable valve cores, get a Lezyne. It’ll fit perfectly and look nice, tyres will be at the perfect pressure because of the built in gauge. Then when you try to remove it you’ll also unscrew the valve core which you will then drop and lose when you remove it from the pump. Other than that one minor flaw, they’re brilliant.

The flaw is with the stoopid removeable core I’d say.
-

Indeed. I didn't realise I had removable valve cores until this happened when I tried to top my tyres up with my Lezyne out on the road. Have now tightened them all up permanently (I hope) with pliers.

Fuck me, please don't remind me, fucking Lezyne.
To be honest I'm not sure who I was more pissed off at the first time I did that, Lezyne or twatting conti, has anybody in the history of cycling ever replaced a valve core.

Sealant innit

sounds like a D'menor?

Lezyne micro floor drive is amaze but if you don't get too many visits from the fairy then it's quite pricey to then sit around. I use a Zefal HPX on my about-town bike with a z-hose. Works great, is cheap and easy to move between bikes if you want.

Conti, definitely. Had the same thing happen, seems like Conti just screw the cores in finger tight and send you on your way.
I didn't even realise Specialized tubes had removeable cores until I looked into the idea of squirting a bit of Stans sealant into a removeable core tube. I've never had a Lezyne pump undo a Spec tube.

True dat

I just tightened up all my valve cores with pliers and no more problem.

Yes, when injecting tubeless setups with sealant.

I have an SKS Rennkompressor head sitting here. It's basically new off one of those shitty German pumps with the same name. I don't know if you can attach it again, I just cut it off to fit a crack pipe for my gmail.
T in the seatstay bridge is a "Time" frame, as in "I ain't got time for you, biatch!" ;)

Valve extenders too, init.

Most people who have woods valves every few times they pump up tyres as they unscrew it by mistake.
If someone said that to me I'd fucking car-jack them.
