I'm building some atm which will be cheap. £7 wtb rims from PX and £60 Novatec hubs from AliExpress. You can get SLX hubs cheap from CRC too

Yep that's the route that I've been looking at(SLX front / RS505 rear for potential future road use) but £50 of spokes and £50 of labour on top means still a bit more than I'd like to pay for now.
@Netakure you mean 700c 40mm Nanos? Old wheels off this are on my winter bike now.

Keep speccing out wheels but they end up at £150+ every time... why are second hand 15mm/qr 656b wheels so hard to find?
