• Nope its a bit of a bike tombola. From the fork I guessed 1 1/8, as with clearance too, will get researching on serial number/ year of production when it arrives, plan is to get a fork with all the braze ons and then get bottle cage mounts on this for some cheap touring rig.

Edit: essentially DIY a surly troll. step one, find steel bike made of the same steel. check

  • Nice nice.

Seen plenty of Project2's or similar for not much £££ on ebay (seems like loooads of them).

My forks are in with Stayer (Leyton) at the moment getting mid-fork eyes brazed on. Was surprised how cheap it worked out actually. Worked out loads cheaper than I found half decent forks w/eyelets for.

  • Awesome, I'll start asking around when I get it. I was very close to buying a copy of a troll from China but import and shipping fees were the same as the bike so sacked it. Its a funny world really, so many people think new is better but an old steel bike could be reborn into a modern copy for a fraction of the cost and whilst supporting a local frame builder and saving it from a land fill. Pages and pages of that on this forum are inspiring and even at the Rdvst they are inspiring it.
