It's a bit of a poor listing, and I guess people must think it's dodgy that there are two bikes pictured.
But yeah, it's been on my watchlist for months.

I mean for a tenner its low risk. worst case scenario he'll send the tenner back to avoid bad ebay cred. I sent an hopeful message about postage because I live in North Wales and London and train or drive from either would be considerably more. Failing that I'll offer Β£20 or so to cover post and packing if he's still not happy.

Yessssssmate!
Shit ... pangs of regret

Did you ask what steerer size?
-
• #1163
Nope its a bit of a bike tombola. From the fork I guessed 1 1/8, as with clearance too, will get researching on serial number/ year of production when it arrives, plan is to get a fork with all the braze ons and then get bottle cage mounts on this for some cheap touring rig.
Edit: essentially DIY a surly troll. step one, find steel bike made of the same steel. check

Nice nice.
Seen plenty of Project2's or similar for not much £££ on ebay (seems like loooads of them).
My forks are in with Stayer (Leyton) at the moment getting mid-fork eyes brazed on. Was surprised how cheap it worked out actually. Worked out loads cheaper than I found half decent forks w/eyelets for.

Awesome, I'll start asking around when I get it. I was very close to buying a copy of a troll from China but import and shipping fees were the same as the bike so sacked it. Its a funny world really, so many people think new is better but an old steel bike could be reborn into a modern copy for a fraction of the cost and whilst supporting a local frame builder and saving it from a land fill. Pages and pages of that on this forum are inspiring and even at the Rdvst they are inspiring it.

The seller refused to post, I questioned the integrity of the listing due to the lack of information but he told me to foxtrot oscar. He did refund quickly though..back to the hunt
I do like this alot though, does anyone know anything with a similar clearance, tubing geo but without the price tag?

I want some snow to ride in :(

Just thinking about selling my ice tyres. I think it last snowed where I am about 10 years ago. Unfortunately I don't think their value warrants posting them, until a freak weather occurrence when they will suddenly triple in value.

Ha, I have a pair of 26β schwalbe snow studs in the cupboard. I think in the 3 years Iβve had them itβs not snowed once and only been remotely icy enough on 4 or 5 occasions. They do sound like youβre riding on rice crispies which is nice tho.
They were so cheap I couldnβt care less and it doesnβt hurt to have a pair.
26β is the wheelsize of the gods anyway. -
