Genuinely interested how you got here. Where you searching the web for toaster related chat and happened to come across this thread, and decided to join to give your thoughts? Or are you interested in bikes and this just happened to be the first thread you came upon on here.

I treated myself to a Dualit from the Selfridges sale when we bought our house, I changed the plug and two weeks later it was dead, warranty void because of the plug thing, I took it up with PayPal and they refunded my money... Great but toaster still dead... Gave it to a neighbour to have a look at and it was just a tripped safety switch... Normal roasting service resumed!!

Needs a clean, these were the first slices that went through just now...

Great toaster, shit bread.

Gluten free from Aldi, I've got horrific IBS... We were given a bread maker when we got here, when I finally figure out where to buy the five hundred ingredients needed to make my own, I will... Until then it'll just have to do...

It actually tastes pretty good, heavy on the seeds so fantastic for my gastric tract...

A guy I know invented "roast toast" he says the best toaster isn't actually a toaster at all.
He uses the oven and bakes his slices a light golden brown. I have to contend, it was bloody excellent with lurpak (of course).

My mate has a toast rack that he puts directly over the flame on his gas hob... He loves it...

Sounds great! I must admit I like dualit toast, but "roast toast" was borne out of a drunken conversation of the "right amount of fluff versus crispy outer", so roast toast was invented due to the consistency of result!

Is Dualit toast different tho'? The crunch is fantastic, gotta give it that... Not gonna buy into believing I can taste a difference but deffo better than toast from the grill...

Oh yes, my mate who's a minted pathologist swears by his dualit and lurpak. Breakfast over there was always better than my argos toaster.

I would eat all that shit to punish my body for being shit until it wasn't shit.

Yeah my cousin is. They said maybe to get tested and I laughed at the idea, given how much bread/pasta/whatever foods I've eaten over the years and never had any issues. I've eaten green fucking hamburgers ffs. I think the only thing that actually got to me was a shitload of booze and drinking some Egyptian water (we think, I was too pissed to remember).
