That's a pretty broad spread! Ha ha
I'd like him to be utterly exposed and humiliated, and turned on by his base/Fox. Or dead.
But, alas, I think he'll resign before the end of his first term. He'll frame it like he couldn't govern in the face of an establishment conspiracy. It'll be a total fucking mess, he'll make sure of it.

I think he'll see out the first term. His base (those still with him at this point) will never turn on him unless he turns out to be black, Muslim, or gay.
He'll be dead soon because he looks like shit and is the type of guy unable to take medical advice properly, either out of stupidity or pride.

According to Crooked Media, the only way they'll turn on him is to prove that Trump has not drained the swamp.

He has filled the swamp with the contents of the paddling pool in Ichi the Killer.
-
• #4206
But he hasn't. He has just increased the number of bottom feeders.

Second term or dead. Nothing inbetween.

Once the indictments get closer to him or his family, he's going to fire Mueller. That surely will be the last straw for republicans in congress and they'll ask him to resign.

The nice thing about phrases like 'Make America Great Again' and 'Drain the Swamp' is that they're so vague and amorphous that it's impossible to tell whether a promise has been fulfilled or not.

The Republicans will do nothing, they’re along for the ride now.
This article is good. Compares the actions of the party during Watergate with their inaction now.

I understand the term to mean he was going to clear out the political cronies but instead he has brought back the likes of Manafort and Roger Stone.
-
• #4212
They won't ask him to resign, they already know the answer.
-
• #4213
He'll be given a second season by the idiots that think "Make America Great Again" actually means something. It's his game-show, nobody gets to say "you're fired" but him.

In addition to 'drain the swamp', didn't his supporters also make a huge deal out of how he was simply too rich to be in anyone's pocket? I hope they find proper evidence detailing much he has been whoring himself out to shady oligarchs like the Agalarovs.
Not sure if it would filter trough to his hard core base though. -

Ny times pod cast a good listen today

Facts mean nothing to Trump's base. The number of people blaming Schumer for last night's attack in NY is crazy. Lets pretend for a moment that the Diversity programme was responsible for the attack (of course it fucking wasn't), the fact that Schumer was one of 8 senators that tried to scrap the programme but was blocked by the GOP doesn't matter.
The internet says Schumer killed 8 people yesterday so that is what Trump's base believes.

For fun and without going into detail, can we please guess what will ultimately happen to Trump and where he'll be in, say, five years?
I think a lot depends on whether Ivanka speaks out about what happened when she was a child.
-
• #4220
He has spent more on golf trips than it would cost to offer gender reassignment surgery to every trans member of the US armed forces. By a long way. Nice.

...whether Ivanka speaks out ...

I think the point they were trying to make (I think) is that it's quite easy to prove that Trump has not drained the swamp and he has actually added to it, and that's a tactic that anyone who wants to turn Trump's base against him needs to be actively pursuing.
-
• #4224
it is possible he has drained the swamp, on his property, in florida, at taxpayers expense
-
• #4225
I understand their point. Yes, it's plain to see he hasn't 'drained the swamp' (ugh, I hate typing that). However, his current supporters are comprised of two groups: 1) fucking assholes and 2) fucking idiots. And there's obviously some overlap. Neither of these groups are worth trying to convince that Trump hasn't drained the swamp because they either 1) don't care, or 2) are incapable of understanding they've had an orange rug pulled over their eyes.
Sure, he's lost some idiots and assholes along the way, but I get the sense that his base are dug in at this point.
