Would anyone like a Sony PSP? Have one kicking around that we don't need.

What makes you say that?
I still have high hopes for another getaway/ GTA London!

Can't see another Getaway happening. GTA London is pretty likely but it would be a map that's "inspired" by London, rather than what The Getaway went with.

If you haven't already they're worth jailbreaking and sticking emulators on. They're pretty capable for handheld versions of classic consoles/arcade games.

I'm interested if it's still available, could pick up at SE beers.

If I wanted a change of career and wanted to work in the game sector what could I feasibly do with my skill set/experience?
I was a producer/reporter for news and current affairs TV, after which I did a stint writing spin/lies for prime ministers and presidents of ill repute, then I did nothing for a while, then I worked as an AD on a few feature films and big budget commercials, now I run a video production/video marketing business with 3 full time employees and various contractors, many freelancers. It does OK but it's near constant stress and headaches - whether that's due to my own ineptitude is up for discussion.
In terms of day to day activity, I produce, write and direct content, managing sometimes complex storylines and even more complex filming schedules and timetables, I pitch and handle account management, I can talk to different types of people without coming across like a fucking imbecile, I know when to shut up, I have a decent understanding of technical workflows (not to implement but enough to know not to ask for silly things in sh0rt time frames), and some other stuff.
I figure I could do some kind of project management role but not sure I'd even want to do that. I presume any creative roles that don't require advanced technical knowledge are A. few and far between and B. in rather hot demand.
Lastly, are there any companies in Brighton or within a 1 hour drive (I know there are lots of mobile gaming companies here but haven't seen any making anything I'd really want to jump into as a career change)?

Guildford has a bunch of video games companies. Not sure if it's within an hour of Brighton, maybe. I know Hello Games has been hiring lots recently, also literally just saw an add for Epic Games positions https://epicgames.avature.net/careers/SearchJobs?3_5_3=41

Interesting about Guilford. Suspect Ubisoft have something there as I recall a former colleagues wife worked for them in capacity and they live a few minutes outside of it. Cheers

literally in the same situation, got paid today for some work I did in the summer. The great reviews of Mario Odyssy make me want to buy it now but really I should wait for deals...

Buy Switch, buy Mario Odyssey, keep Switch.
Buy used Swith, buy Mario Odyssey, sell Switch again.
Seriously, worth Getting console just for this (plus while at it Zelda aswell).
Finished “Story” of Mario today, but the game only started. There is SO MUCH to explore and unlock.
Completly addicted and managed to do at least 24 hours on it in past 4 days.

Got back into MGS5 again. Despite all its flaws (its essentially unfinished, the story is a bit meh etc) it plays so damn well. You can do every mission 1000 different ways and it runs so smoothly.
Kinda miss the old linear levels from the previous games but the open world things works pretty well...
