TBH the money is just as good, I will run a division of the consultancy I work for. I am just spreading the risk as my take home will be part salary, part day rate...plus benefits (Holiday, medical, pension etc) Equity in the Co yadda yadda yadda
Agreed, i'd reached a point contracting where i'd need a significant uptick in my day rate to outweigh the D level perm roles. The more senior i got the closer to parity to perm it became.
Also as my family and I get older, everything gets more expensive...houses, schools, holidays.
