I've a few Gaciron lights, cheap, well made and working well, but that's only based on a couple months usage. Mine are lower powered than you're after, but this looks pretty good (untested)
just got this. really impressed - dont think they are understating the power at all. going to go riding tomorrow with it

Just had the 400lumens version delivered for commuting duty. Feels as good quality as my old Lezyne Microdrive.

Don't let it get wet/stay wet. Mine has just died after only a month of commuting. It got wet maybe twice and the usb port underneath is completely rusted

I bought two of these and they're amazing for a tenner. If you spend any more money on a front light, you're a tart. There's no need.

Perhaps the old adage of buy cheap buy twice applies...

Yep well they were amazing! FWIW the other one is still going excellently on the other half's bike. There's nothing as bright for even double the price of those.
Anyway, I'm going dynamo in the near future -

Just checked mine. I've had it for about the same time and done 6-7 wet commutes with it, no sign of water ingress or corrosion yet but I'll keep an eye on it. I think if it fails I'd buy another one, really happy with the brightness and battery life. Plus the flash mode is SOS in morse code which is pretty funny.

Ha, I hope so as I've just bought the 1600 lumen one. I'm generally cool with spending £40 quid on lights every other year or so. Means I dont have the worry of having a £150 light to lose/drop and smash. Hope I get more of a month out of it, but will remember to bring it in everynight and not leave it wet in the shed.

My bike lives in the house and in the office. It only gets wet going between the two. Must just have been unlucky with mine. Maybe the rubber usb cover actually kept the water in rather than out

Mine has been on a downpour twice, still going and hopefully hold on for couple of years more.
Only gripe is that the light is more diffused than a comparable lumens model from cateye. -

I also received the 1600 lumen one the other day. went on a night ride with it last night, really really good!

Where's best to get a full service? Evans St Pauls with Scoble?
-
• #6466
Perfect, ta.

They look really good but I can't get your aliexpress link to work and can't find them searching for Brompton hinge or Brompton clamp, what's the listing title?
Cheers!

I'm ordering rims from Far Sports, and they've asked what $ value to put on the packages for when they come through customs. What should I tell them?

I've changed the link. Looks like the aliexpress ones come with a phillips head nut rather than allen key. Easy enough to swap though.

Thanks! Not sure how I feel about alu clamps... I've currently got Ti bolt things with the standard clamps. I like the idea of them not spinning around every time I try to assemble the bike.

Just fitted them, much nicer and don't really understand why they wouldn't be like that in the first place.
You can get Ti ones but they're c. £70

Which bike? Need to be fairly central or can it be further out?

Brompton, which is the thread that I thought I was in...

I've received some rather nice 15mm Thru Axle Carbon Disc Forks from Hongfu
They weigh 425g exactly with uncut steerer and are nicely finished
With postage, customs and thru axle they cost me £126
They'll be going on a custom Titanium frame from Waltly when that arrives later this month...
Any chance you want to part with the black cups?
