My guess is that the rimtape doesn't need to be sticky because the edge of the tire pushes it down and seals it.
If it works that tape would be quicker to install than the normal stuff. But the width of the tape has to really match the rim. Also not sure if it is as reliable as normal stuff.
So, try it, if it doesn't work get that Tesa tape. I use that and cut it to widht. Which takes ages, but 10€ goes a long way and I have extra if I need to redo tape.

Thoughts on this tubeless kit? This rim tape seems to be easier to install than the tape I'd get with Stan's NoTubes kit, but is it as good?
