I'm after a 26" shimano 8 speed mtb rear wheel

I checked with Sheldon before I answered so I need to ask if you mean 26x1in road or as I'd prefer to call it a 650c rear, ETRTO 571mm? if my interpretation is correct I've got one complete with cassette and all in good order. Will need to look for a tyre as I'm not sure if I've got any small tyres.

No problems. Aren't MTB ones 24in or maybe they were before 29ers became fashionable.

26” was the only mtb wheel til it got silly a few years back.
It’s still the king of wheel sizes despite what the marketing hype would let you believe.
