yeah, exactly this.
they are a very under rated tyre. people see the word "marathon" and think "tractor tyre" but they are faster than voyager hypers.

+1 for these tyres. Have the 38s on my cross-check, reflective strip removed (v easy) and they're grand, have mini toured on them, commuted and plenty of road rides. -

I've ordered a pair of 35s to try out - if they're even 75% as good as marathon supremes at that price it's hard to justify the MS. Even ordered a spare so I have one handy when I wear the rear out - wonder how long that will take.

Ah right, I'd miss remembered that test; thanks.

GP4Ksiis do have shockingly good puncture protection.
I think the main factor is that it's so supple that it roll over the sharp debris without it getting pierced, plus the rubber compound mean it's less likely to get cut up like the GP 4 Seasons.
May also explain why my Compass/Grand Bois doesn't get cut up easily/punctured.

Correct, I don't lean, Earth just moves away from me...

• #5136
Really? I'm using the 32 and quite like it.

I need to replace my tyres on my 2014 Boardman Road Comp but struggling to find out how big I can go. Want something bigger than the 25s that are on their currently. Possibly up to 32 for Gravel Kings or Marathon Supremes.
Anywhere I can find this out online? Google is coming up with nowt.

In fact this thread should be renamed to 'why you should buy Marathon Supremes chat'

Don’t trip over your SPD sandals on the way out

Some fibres showing on the sidewall of my GP4ks with a few 1000 miles on them. Like a small tuft sticking out - is it a risk to keep running them?
-
• #5142
I won't be cause I'll be rolling forever into the sunshine and over rainbows without ever having to get off to swear at my tyres thank you
-
• #5143
Borrow a larger tyre and have a go at measuring the space available?
Obvs there’s a few factors which may affect results- rim width/difference between same size tyre by different manufacturers etc.
Sure your friendly lbs will let you try an old tyre on for sI’ve if you end up buying a pair from them. -
• #5144
I've got some 28c gp4000k sII on my wide rims at home, come up around 30mm apparently, you're welcome to try them?
-
• #5145
Yeah, I send the Hypers in 35 size in Iceland and I was impressed by them. Pity they're not officially tubeless.
-
• #5146
Yep i was just being thick. Ordered a pair. Excited to finally be rid of Paselas

• #5147
Cheers man! Ned will attest to my inability to quickly remove and replace a tyre while keeping my compoure - also I'm taking in to for Goats to look at the rear hub on Wednesday so maybe I'll ask if he'll throw a 28 or 32 on it while there.
-
• #5148
No need to take off the tyre, put the wheel in! Text me if you change your mind anyway, I'm around tomorrow night

Ha, oh yeah - of course. Will do, cheers man!
Marathon supreme shouldn't have the word marathon in it, they are that good.
