Took me a while to figure out that was a cross check. Looks lovely.

What gave it away, the 40mm worth of spacers?

Did I imagine such a thing as handlebar extensions, to increase width? I got a good deal in a nice pair of bullnose bars but they're only 580mm wide and feel like they could do with a touch more.

Hmm, 40mm extra, not mind-blowing is it, but will have to do. Fucked if I can find or afford those nice wide nitto/rivendell ones.

Have you checked Blue Lug?
Mine were much cheaper through them than Riv. -
• #16989
Whats it like ordering through them in terms of shipment times and import duty?
-
• #16990
I'm in Canada so hard to say what the duties and taxes would be like, but ordering was painless and shipping was quick.
-just checked, ordered on Sept 11, received on the 20th -

Yeah Macho Man with added braze ons for the rando rack and lowrider rack.

That Macho Man is so close to my perfect Functional bike.

Before you get it too wet, get the bb out and check its been greased/antiseized. Mine was dry from the factory but luckily I changed the bb and crankset early enough that it hadnt rusted in place.

Thanks for the tip, I Found a new Alfine crank and BB cheaper than trade on eBay so I'll swap it out as soon as it comes. I also repacked the hub with better greese after someone else who had one told me the lack of lube killed their hubs.

that's my cross check :) such a fun bike. I've put Velo Orange Klunker bars and fresh compass tyres instead of the halo twin rails since that photo though... even better!

So tempt, much want.
I'll run these for a while and see how they work out.

I'd recommend the non-integrated ones.
I have both but find I like the drop angle a little steeper than what Grant had in mind, though this comes at the cost of some flex - the integrated ones obviously have very little. -

Not sure I'm familiar with any non-intergrated bullmoose bars....
Edit, think I see the ones you mean, I need 1" though.
