The cranks and bottom bracket will set you back 280 pounds new, I don't think the price (which includes shipping by the way) is that outlandish.
If he can't sell it for his listing price, he'll have to drop it eventually.
Edit: Thought the ring was SG75 as well, so a little less I guess.
