Thanks - hole in the wall it is . I didn't intend to remove the existing board and replace with sound proofing board but put the sound proofing board over the top. I just need to know where the thinest/weakest points are.
There’s every chance it’s already acoustic board. Buildings regs defo required it in 2005 when I dicked about converting an old house to flats.
Well I'll find out if it is acoustic board when I cut a hole but even if it is it doesn't work very well .
