Gna preorder the X to pick up at a US store as I fly out for 5 weeks this weekend.
No idea if i actually want it / want to spend that insane figure (£800ish buying in the US) but at least i'll have 14 days to return.

In the last few years, there has been a massive BNIB iPhones buy and sell in HK to a point where shops that sell 2nd hand phones would actually get their staff out to queue up or to tempt customers who have their iPhones to sell as soon as...
Especially when iPhones used to be released weeks later in China than in HK.
I saw the news yesterday, the current prediction for a iPhone X could be as high as close to GBP£4500. I don't believe in that neither most people who have half a brain, but if it was truth, I would buy half a dozen and treat myself to a nice business class flight holiday back home next weekend then but an iPhone 8 that nobody wants...

Took my external boot ssd home from work and popped it in my laptop. Ran the trim command in safe mode and now back to +400MB/s write speeds. :)
Took less than one episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm to do. -

So I went crazy and just got myself the 256GB version of the X, delivery isn't for another month which is good, that gives me plenty time to look at all the early reports to decide whether to stick with it or cancel order nearer the time.
I am stressed and retail therapy works.

Similar here, I usually have my stuff picked up from the local shop and all I did was tried to click that button... literally less than a second and it went from 2-3 to 4-5. But I see this as a blessing in disguise as I am really not sure about the facial ID thing...
And for a change, the website went live before the app, so I did it the old fashioned way...
@Sam_w, is that a London store?
-
• #12024
Ah no Exeter, which is probably why I could get it quickly, I assume all stores were given a set amount and London stores would have sold out first.

I see, what colour did you go for?
To be honest, it is a lot of money, that criticism of the new gens is fair... luckily mine was a company purchase so...
