  • Thanks man!

Hopefully be getting back out there for the next one!

  • How did you know that the next one is in 16 years?

  • Don't think I will be unfortunately, but thanks for the invite

  • Hi Jono, replying here in case others want to join

It's a 20 mile ride from down here, and I expect to average about 15 mph with knobblies on, so an 830am start would give us a good cushion?

If you're in Sydenham hill, I could meet you by at the big roundabout at the end of Crystal Palace Parade, or the other end of Sydenham Hill, at the small roundabout at the junction of Sydenham Hill and Kirkdale.

Then we head down Lordship Lane, through Peckham Rye and on to Tower Bridge. I have no Garmin or anything, so if you want to do a proper route feel free. I'll probs have a road map / handwritten cue sheet for when I get into unknown streets up north.

  • Riding UP From Sydenham / Dulwich / Tower Bridge All Welcome

  • Been a while since I've had anyone get lost on the way to the forest...

  • 15 mph average through central London on a MTB with knobblies?

    Good luck with that.

  • I'm out. Mother in law decides she DOES want a birthday lunch after all. Have fun.

  • Good luck with that.

    Thanks :)

It's flat, not a weekday, and I'll be on a 'cross bike. If @jono84 want to take it steadier I'm sure he'll let me know.

Anyway knobblies mean you don't have to slow down for jumping up / down kerbs and over potholes, I'll be faster if anything

  • Mans got to go to work, so I'm out, unfortunately. See some of you at the Incredible Cross the night before?

  • Scratch me off @BareNecessities, i've been obliged to look after a dog that would be no good chasing bikes around epping.

  • Riding UP From Sydenham / Dulwich / Tower Bridge All Welcome

    3. platypus 8:45 outside peckham library I have a garmin and I've done this route a few times before
  • A bit gutted....I've juggled work etc to make this ride, but I now have to accompany my sister to a meeting with some coppers.....my nephew was killed a few months back, and we need to check over details of the case.

  • peckham library

That's the big colourful glass one at the north end of Rye Lane, right?
Glad to have a navigator on board for the uncharted Northern Territories.

  • yep

    no probs!

  • 8.30am at the small round about of kirkdale/sydenham hill works for me. Prepare to have your planned average fudged by my wide bars and gear ratios!

@stedlocks - sorry to hear that, hope it all goes OK

  • No worries, we could drop down to 10mph and still be on time.

  • I'm jealous already.

  • Your voice sounds a little croaky, mate. You should call in sick.

  • not sure if @owenreed be happy about it
