@vp1337 It just says "Cro-Mo". Mine is a 1994 BV SE -in 1994, this model and down used the basic CroMo Rockstar fork, the higher models used either the 750g Lite or 690g UltraLite forks. Yours looks like a 1992 with the small Bear Valley SE decal on the top tube, in which case it would have come with the 750g fork. Mine had big letters right along the top tube - see photo below of when I first got it, it was original with full Shimano STX Special Edition group (only made in 1994). I can hardly believe that. When I bought my Scott Windriver (back in 1991 - equipped with 7 speed DX), Marin was in the running too but as far as I remember Bear Valley was lower-mid range (exage stuff). Maybe in 1992 they had some upgrade, I don't know.
