  • Missed an interesting game. A decent outing for some kids.

Disappointed with your Davies. Looked promising last year. Turned into a bit of a thug this year. Did well to manage six fouls before his first booking.

Poor turn out from Everton fans. Must have been an issue with transport to or from Swindon.

  • Poor turn out from Everton fans.

Always considered them a fickle lot, unlike the fans of some of the bigger teams in the North West.

  • So The Sherrif (or the Pooch or whatever he is called this week) has come out and said that the League Cup is not a major trophy and not something to get bothered about.

Curiously, the League Cup is the only trophy that Spurs have won in the past 25 years.

  • liverpool youngster gets consecutive hatricks in the quarter and semi finals of the U17 world cup

    nice

  • But they should've won the league twice in the last few years, you can't top that, Shirley?

  • And I suppose they are leading the 100 game league which no one else ever has

  • In the great scheme of things, the sheriff named his preference of what he wanted to win, so league/champions league, fa cup, carabao cup.
Seeing as we're now out of the latter, which I'm not sure how to feel about, especially as it means giving West Ham a boost, give us more time to concentrate on the three trophies above it in the pecking order.
Like the fact that he's aiming high, rather that than looking for European place and decent cup run...

  • 'Thugs'?

Ahhh, so maybe that explains why most of your players were rolling around on the floor at every tackle for the last 15/20mins like they'd been shot. Some call it time wasting but if it was down to our mean, thuggish players I apologise

Why would Everton fans want to travel to a midweek game to a shit stadium in a shit Cup, to watch a shit team with a shit manager(they would've bought tickets while Koeman still in charge)?

To support the team... oh and "We go the game"

  • def need like button

  • Oh that's right, I forgot that when Liverpool fans aren't in pubs watching they travel the length and breadth of the country midweek to watch pointless football

  • just saying your mobs thing is we go the game... Normally I'd say it was just your pissed keks attitude but there was a huge gap in the crowd last night so it's catching... The Hodgson reign gave quite a few people chance to pick up away credits as the first lot jibbed it off

and we do as it happens. even when it hurts, sunday still smarts but thems the breaks

How are cup games pointless btw?

  • How are cup games pointless btw?

Points only given for league games?
Struggling teams should concentrate on the league?

  • def need like button

Tags would be good as well.

  • Like the fact that he's aiming high, rather that than looking for European place and decent cup run...

Nice to aim high but realistically, the League Cup was the only trophy that Spurs had any viable chance of winning.

  • Ah c'mon big man, you're going to have to troll harder than that..
Hoping your midfield works without kante.

  • there's always a chance to win a cup... however much people deride it... that's the reason for playing isn't it?

If you pay to see a match and your team doesn't try that's just horrible

Take spurs for example saying it's a shit cup the other night but it's the only one they've won in around 25 years.

  • Hoping your midfield works without kante.

Hoping your team works without Kane.

  • It didn’t against one of the worst teams in the league

  • Big test for Omar this weekend.
It'll be interesting to see how Spurs line up against United without Winks.

  • I'd expect better from you big man, cheap digs at Spurs seems to be the coin of the realm currently, but as I had to clarify for @WornCleat the sheriff just said what everyone accepts that the premier league and champions league are the cups that make your name, after that comes fa cup and carabao.
Having won the worthington cup, I would have loved to have got through to the meaningful bit, but I'm not crying over not having to add another match to what's looking like a hectic season.
