If you've got a BMX, make a paper mache ET, stick a basket on the front with the ET in it and wear a hoodie.

Gonna ride out to the central league I think.

Weird cyclocross moment when your bike comes home cleaner than when it left
Also end of October with a 20kmh average over 70 mins
It’s the central cross league Halloween twilight zone

Was coming to ask the same question. Not being on any social media (other than lufguss) inhibits my ability to see photos of myself looking fat that might motivate me to train!

How did you get on? Sounds the opposite of last weekend.

Rode out. Got my timing all wrong and arrived with 15 minutes until the start with no food.
Battled some guy for ages who wheel sucked me for ages and wouldn’t work with me even as we were being realed in. Then Bonked with 15mins to go.
Good corse tho, would ride again
Had to top up on the way home as my vision was getting fuzzy

Sounds like a worthwhile trip. Glad to know I’m not the only shameless wheel sucker out there.

I put down a foot long sub pretty quick that’s for sure
Feel kinda bad for Joe Peake because he keeps getting beaten to the top spot on the podium by people who don’t race the central league

Good choice of emergency rations.

Went to watch a little of the NorthWestCCA round organised by Horwich Wheelers today.
Rode my Minty Straggler, with its 750mm wide Salsa low-rise bars and Conti RaceKing 29x2.0" tyres. Probably had the most enjoyable ride of anyone there.

Did anyone here ride R2 of the National series at Abergavenny yesterday?
Young Tom Pidcock certainly dished out a lesson in how to do it. Very impressive.

I think @Ecunard was the sole lfgss representative at Abergavenny yesterday.
I think Pidcock winning was expected wasn’t it? He was lapping faster than Field at the Nationals in January, and was recently top ten in a race with the likes of Van der Poel and Van Aert. Either way, he’s an amazing talent.
