There's a currently cheap Macap and a Fracino grinder on eBay at the moment. I went with a Mazzer Mini in the end which was cheap on eBay.

I would be up for it if Tenderloin doesn't want it, happy to make a donation to the forum.

Vario is very small and might well be perfect for what you need. I made great espresso with that for years.
+1
mine is still going strong from 2012

Coffee arrived, packaging is definitely on point, so I took a pic.
Going to get a friend at my local coffee shop to grind it and try a few cups tomorrow. Thanks again!

Anyone got a bulletproof Aeropress method? I'm not doing these YBCR beans any justice.

Careful asking for bulletproof coffee, that’s an entirely different thing.

I go inverted.
Fill halfway. Stir. Leave for c.2-3 minutes to steep. Top up with a bit more hot water depending on how long you want the coffee. Wash the filter. Put on and press until coffee come through filter and then suck back down. Invert over cup and 15-20 second press. Finish before the hiss.Amount of coffee, steep, water is user preference but basic technique I find gives good results.

Inverted method.
Try 18g / 250ml / 94C / 2.5 mins and adjust grind to taste, keeping all other parameters the same. I prefer wetting grounds & stirring before filling to 250ml but many people don’t seem to bother. -

Basically the same as hangedup ^
Inverted, 18g coffee, 250g water (50ml for bloom for 30 secs, then top up). 2:30 brew time total (30 sec bloom, 2 mins after).
I aim for a 30 sec extraction.

Cheers folks, I've always had the chamber inverted but steeped the coffee in all the water for no more than a minute. I've been doing it all wrong. Will try these tomorrow and report back.
Thanks!

Can someone point me to a beginner's guide to milk work with my gaggia classic.
I usually drink espressos and I can knock up a babycino for the kids. However, it would be nice to be able to make proper drinks for visitors or on the rare occasions I fancy one.
Ta.

swap the wand for the rancillo one is step 1.

I do 1min steep 30s press, just depends on your grind settings. Coarser grind = longer brew time

Speaking of that shite, Bulletproof, if any of you cretins were stupid enough to order any, they've been hacked, so your payment details might be 'out there'.

I just started trying @StevePeel 's recipe that he posted on here and it's really doing his YB beans justice.
18g coffee and 200ml water. Inverted, 30 seconds with 30ml, then 90 seconds with the remaining 170ml, then press.
