How the hell has this thread been inactive for so long? LOADS of stuff has happened with crisps in the last 7 years.

I have found my people at last.

Once crisps have been linked to causing cancer, I expect Gary Linekar to donate every penny he's earned from Walkers to charity

+1 for those. Could live on crisps.

Anyone had the truffle Torres crisps?

6 packs have no chance whatsoever - they're all gone in 6.8 seconds - same for hula hoops and forgive me if there's a seperate thread - like yourselves, I could not live without them.

seperate thread
No. Hula hoops, squares, discos, nik-naks all welcome. I dont want any cliques forming. I often eat discos and squares at the same time. However these co-op crisps have recently replace salt and vinegar discos as the strongest s+v flavour i can find.

Shout out for the Lidl own brand salt and pepper crisps. Paired with Lidl’s own hummus, the perfect ying to the crisps’ peppery yang.
And the Lidl’s own version of frazzles! Those things are the perfect salty bacon flavour, moresish and just amazing. Great with beers.
(It’s no mystery why I’m a fatty really)

Dipping sauces for nachos has been vastly improved recently.... post brexit they will probably treble in price. :-(

• #166
Yeah, I wasn't really convinced. Incredibly expensive.

I'm rather partial to old school crisps like Space Raiders and their modern variants.
I wasn't aware of this (courtesy of wikipedia and The Lawyer):
Space Raiders remained at a retail price of 10 pence from their introduction in the late 1970s until late October 2007, when the price increased to 15p. It later increased to 25p before lowering to 20p. The price has continued to fluctuate, reflecting the volatility of the underlying commodity prices. At the time of the original 5p price rise, directors at United Biscuits received death threats.

BBQ Bugles are my current crisp addiction.
Also have a penchant for the tortilla Doritos

Love crisps - the greatest sorrow in turning vegan was losing crispy bacon crisps. Weirdly, salt and vinegar Pringles are not vegan, but smoky bacon ones are.

Crisps should not be allowed on public transport.
Smell
NoiseNice though.
