@Tomo187 I'm planning on keeping all the components, and once I have some spare money (and space) I'll build up a drop bar MTB as well. I wanna get some tools by then so I can install BB's and headsets on my own...
After some riding today I've quickly realised that eyyy, this thing is far from comfy. I'd need a size smaller frame, with like 4-5 cm shorter top tube for this cockpit setup to work.
Now the plan is acquiring a different stem and handlebar. I've already ordered a pair of NOS Dia Compe Power Control 3 brake levers for dirt cheap. A friend of mine has a load of retro MTB stems so I'm pretty sure that's settled. Handlebar-wise I'll just browse my LBS for some risers.
This thing is money not too well spent so far haha.
