  • Anyone got a bulletproof Aeropress method? I'm not doing these YBCR beans any justice.

  • Careful asking for bulletproof coffee, that’s an entirely different thing.

  • I go inverted.
Fill halfway. Stir. Leave for c.2-3 minutes to steep. Top up with a bit more hot water depending on how long you want the coffee. Wash the filter. Put on and press until coffee come through filter and then suck back down. Invert over cup and 15-20 second press. Finish before the hiss.

Amount of coffee, steep, water is user preference but basic technique I find gives good results.

  • Inverted method.
Try 18g / 250ml / 94C / 2.5 mins and adjust grind to taste, keeping all other parameters the same. I prefer wetting grounds & stirring before filling to 250ml but many people don’t seem to bother.

  • Basically the same as hangedup ^

Inverted, 18g coffee, 250g water (50ml for bloom for 30 secs, then top up). 2:30 brew time total (30 sec bloom, 2 mins after).

    I aim for a 30 sec extraction.

  • I just started trying @StevePeel 's recipe that he posted on here and it's really doing his YB beans justice.

18g coffee and 200ml water. Inverted, 30 seconds with 30ml, then 90 seconds with the remaining 170ml, then press.
