How weird would putting a steel fork on an alu frame make the bike feel?
Thinking of getting that Pinnacle Arkose for winter use and perhaps an occasional tour next year where i'd fit a steel fork with lowrider mounts etc.
Or would the mudguard eye on the carbon forks hold up for a simple front rack?

I've got a steel fork for my alu 29er for 'touring'. Plenty of people use rigid steel forks on the Alu MTBs with no problems so I don't think you will.

Alright! It wouldn't be permanent. Just for when i'd need to run front panniers.
