Stuff like that feels like the thin end of the wedge in terms of police force privatisation, too.

It's happening more and more with the public private spaces like Canary Wharf, Regent's Place, Kings Cross Estate, etc.

the only reason this fake bacon is considered a viable alternative to actual policing is because the people that put them there think we're all conditioned to defer to anyone in a uniform.

If this stuff and the thinking behind it interests you; this is a great read.

I spotted this yesterday, huge banners along the street proclaiming it “Midtown - where EC1 meets WC1”.
Presumably it ups the rents?

I think this has been discussed on here, I know I certainly raised it ages ago.
Soppy, acoustic covers of classic tracks shredded and killed by bed wetting middleclass Home Counties cunts

It's been called midtown for yonks.
I used to live on New North St, just by Lambs Conduit St. A hilarious huge banner went up where the buildings cross over Procter St, declaring it "The most exciting new street in Midtown". Which was odd, as it is a boring, traffic strewn thoroughfare to nowhere and it is in no way new.
This was back in 2008 or so.

I think it was recently discussed, but it's worthy of repetition. I was getting wound up by this recently due to the current spate of ads with boring, twee covers of stuff that used to be good until it was irrevocably ruined forever, sending the oft-deceased original artist into a furious lateral spin within their grave.

You had a reserved seat in quiet coach where you would expect people to be 'reserved' and not say something to those that aren't.
I was on the London / Glasgow train yesterday and two kids got louder and louder as they got more involved with the the tablet/headphone combi they were preoccupied with. There was visible irritation from fellow quiet coach reservists until some chap spoke up and told them to ' shut up'. Parents weren't happy but they got off at Preston.
There was this woman who was constantly answering her phone with " hang on I'm on the train in the quiet zone " as she dashed for the space outside the coach to continue the conversation. -

Fox hunting red-coated 'people' just passed me in the lane near work. Got a royal-swear-fest sendoff from me in reply to their 'good mornings'.
Didn't get the fox, it passed me beforehand and crossed the brook. Hope it spoiled their days' sport*.
*murder.
Apologies. Calmer now having edited this before posting. Will try and stick to crisps and bicycling topics. -

No, the ban is really just semi strict rules on number of hounds and kill method but fox bothering still very much legal.
