My Garmin Forerunner 10 says it's charging but as soon as I take it off charge it says it has a low battery. I've searched online but no joy - is this a sign that the watch is dead/dying?
Edit: if it is dying, what are people's opinions on the 230? I've read negative reviews of the heart rate sensor on the 235...
I think a lot of people don't put the watch on tightly and get dodgy results from the HRM as a result. Needs to be snug on the wrist and above the bone on your wrist. Feels a bit odd at first but you get used to it.
Mine seem pretty reliable and in line with what I'd expect.
I find the sensor adequate for my needs. I wouldn't use it as part of a medical examination but gauges the effort ranges pretty well. I'd say it has a slight delay when you make a sudden change but settles soon after.
I have a 210 that says it's charging when it's not. I usually charge it on my laptop so I can see if it's actually connected, it sometimes needs fiddling about with a bit. It's been like this for about 2 years now!
