...what would it be? One jersey to rule them all (with the addition of arm warmers on colder days, of course). Not convinced by waterproof as I don't much care for riding in the rain...any suggestions? Preferably something quite expensive!

Rapha classic is classic for a reason, it’s just right for most uk riding. It also makes an excellent walking top. Pickup unloved colours in sales, or when bundled with arm warmers for better value.

Torm gets my vote. Short sleeved.
