Going to spend the morning trying to mount tubeless for the first time with my track pump so fingers crossed, might be 15 mins late
-
• #85
We can probably do that in the train station car park, with a mini pump.
May as well bleed your brakes while we're at it....

• #86
Great! They're SRAM so will be quick right?

Will try and make this, always up for Epping.
Also if you live in a flat without any space outside to wash your bike, I've been using the jet wash at Forest road BP in Walthamstow, cost a couple of quid.

Surely you have a bath with shower attachment aka, bike wash.
-
• #90
Ride it through the car-wash, for full effect.

Might come on my 'cross biek, how deep does the mud get?
-
• #92
No deeper than a typical cross course.
Mostly it’s surface mud with hard underneath so a cross tyre cuts down better than a fat boy mtb. Occasionally it is deeper than a couple of inches, but not often.
I’ve said it before but Epping is ideal cross bike territory and mtbs, 29ers and six fifty bees should be banned. It’s those idiots who keep building jumps because they are over biked for the natural terrain.

• #93
Cool. How long's the route?
-
• #94
I can't wait! Long time no badger.
Rode the swift to work today and did mad skidz on fallen leaves in vicky park.

• #95
I'm out as I'm now away as it's half term
Have fun folks! -

Depends how hard you land on it ;-)
How long's the route?
No more than about 20 miles, I expect.

CX bikes are great for Epping. Just a bit 'racy' for me :-)

Ok. I can wear myself out if needed with the round trip from Crystal palace :)

There's a few on here that ride out, but the conditions in the forest can make it quite slow going, so the train back is a nice option.
Only 'cause commercial pickers ruin it for everyone :(
