I asked the guys at Spa Cycles about people having problems with the water ingress and they said that they had had a handful of returns but that B+M said it was due to user error in not attaching the cables properly or in not putting the rubber cable seal on the usb connector and water getting in that way.
No idea if this is true-I certainly had no problems with my last one so happy to take another punt on it.

this is the shit.
doesn't matter if someone's leaking water in, mine's been working perfectly for over a year and been soaked in tsunami rain as well and beats clearly the Edelux II and especially USB Büchel which is basically useless in the dark unless you just want others to notice you...
