In true Dick style the revolving door of bikes continues.
I genuinely didn't think id sell this frame as its as close to perfection as I've ever found in a road bike.
The frame and forks weigh in at under 1000g so its extremely lightweight.
The fork is 284g and the frame 684g in a 56cm (verified here) which makes this lighter than a new SWorks Tarmac 2018 Ultralight and puts it firmly in WW territory.
Its also very, very stiff and fast, yet a full day in the saddle is very comfy.
This is the special edition Team Issue frame; the retail cost for the standard FR FRD frame set was around £2700
Some key points:
Size 54 (see geo chart below)
Can easily fit 28mm tyres on wide rims (32ish actual width)
BB386evo bottom bracket
Mechanical OR Electronic groupset compatibility
Bottom bracket mounted rear brake
1 1/8" Head tube with 60mm of steerer
Has covered 5000 kms
I found the bb mounted brake to be miles better than any other brake setup ive used; not sure how much of this was down to the R9100 calipers, which are phenomenal, but any niggling doubts i had about how easy they were to set up or how effective they would be in use were very quickly dispelled; its a very cleverly thought out way of making an extremely stiff and light bike comfortable by freeing up the rear stays from a bridge, and also by placing the rear braking force at the stiffest part of the bike.
Only marks i can find on the frame is some chain suck thanks to O-Symetric rings that caused some superficial chips/scrapes to the bottom bracket area and protection plate. This happened about a week into me owning the frame - I had it looked at and on the thickest and most built up part of the bike this is purely cosmetic.
Included in the sale:
All frame hardware
Spare hangers x2
Brand new FSA bottom bracket
Dura Ace R9100 front and rear calipers
SWorks Seatpost
ONE Stem from the following: Brand new 3T Arx Team 120mm 6deg; 3T Arx II Team 110mm 6deg; PRO Vibe 100mm 10deg
Here's a very good idea of what a 6.4kg build looks like around the frame and wheels, the frame is about as light as it gets without shelling out on Lightweight, AX Lightness etc:
