Has anyone try any of these carbon forks? Would the clue be in the title?

nothing in the link after ".html" is relevant for link to work, it's all just search gubbins that you can delete

I ordered these but messaged the seller if I can get it in matte without logos. Apparently I can, so will report upon arrival!
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Bicycle-Full-Carbon-Fiber-Seat-Tube-Bike-Seat-Post-Cycling-Carbon-Seatpost-20-5-Degree-27/32770105750.htmlSeatpost arrived yesterday. It feels solid where it counts and the spring loaded screw is also a nice touch even though I don't know what it's for. Minus points for not clean clamping area as there are scratches and spots with just the resin. Specwise it comes in at 186g for 31.6mm and 20° offset so that's quite accurate.
I'll come back when it impales me

hate that silver clamp. ano black would be way better, looks good otherwise

Yeah, I'm also thinking of rattlecaning them.
I found one huge issue though. The cups that go into the seatpost are asymmetric and I don't think that it's supposed to be as one cup sits perfectly fit while the other doesn't go all the way in and is really wobbly.
Not sure if it is visible in the photo but the cones have different pitches.

Buy cheap, buy twice...

Buying twice or thrice is still cheaper, sooo... ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Did you factor in any medical costs for removing carbon post from rectum?
-
• #6438
Remove? Some people pay a lot of money for that sort of thing

You should be able to get a replacement assembly from a Trek dealer or I guess someone who does Envy stuff?
or possibly a more modern version (and it comes in black also!) No idea if this one would work though, caveat emptor

Big single 130bcd chainrings. Anything good out there?
-
• #6448
I bought one of these:
50t-58t Litepro CNC lightweight chainring 130bcdSeems fine (I have not yet tried it on a bike...)

I've had one of them (58t) on my brompton for about 9 months, it's been fine.

Didnt check mine that meticulously, I just did it up very tight and left it. Carbon paste on all carbon surfaces and grease on the bolt. I got bontrager parts so I could use a carbon saddle with oval rails
I used some 25.4 chinacarbon risers. Scratched to fuck getting them into a quill stem but I didnt die. Granted I havent used them much and barely weigh anything.
My justification was that modern chinacarbon is probably safer than 25 year old Monkeylites, and plenty of people use those every day without issue
