I'm half considering relieving Hugh the Poo of his half-finished Fury and am busy trying to think when and where I'd actually ever drive it.
If I ever finished it.
Which I probably never would.
A monster Euro tour is the only sort of thing I can think of.

P.S. For everyone who has no idea what we're wibbling about, some friends and I used to organise touring holidays for our friends in Caterhams and the like. We clubbed together and bought a 7.5 ton truck with space for two cars in the back, welding gear, full tool kit, compressor, pillar drill etc. as a support vehicle.

Buy it anyway. All the best people in the world have half-finished Friesland. I've been rebuilding my Fury Blackbird for 14 years now.

After all, it's no good to HughPoo now. Twins. Poor fucker.
-

Nah, lucky fucker - children are good. They say and do funny things sometimes, for example.
Maybe I'll just buy it.
What could possibly go wrong with a ringer that's not turned a wheel for decades with an engine that's never been started?
I'll ring him now.

That’s fine - maybe I’ll buy a ‘72 911 whilst I’m out here and ship it back to the UK

• #37712
^that is probably the most sensible post you have ever made in this thread...

Anyone got any recommendations for small car tyres?
Need 165/70 r14 for the bluemotion polo. They are like little pram wheels. Not interested in "energy saving" or budget garbage.
For tye misses who does a 45 mile commute down motorway every day in Scotland through the winter (next to clyde though so not artic conditions!).Been impressed with NOKIAn z lines on the volvo, excellent in the wet (and very good in the dry for a £90/110 a corner tyre) second only to a dedicated wet Road summer like a uniroyal rs3
Seen uniroyal do a 3 season wet weather tyre think it's a rain expert? Any good, or is iy an older tyre?
Price not really fussed, no Road tyre in 14" is a lpt of money lol -

XK120? Anything up to $40k, provided it's complete.
-
• #37720
This one is $32,500, so you'll have some change from that, but I'd have to fly to Pennsylvania today if you wanted it which would take some funds: https://bringatrailer.com/2012/12/15/seller-submission-1953-jaguar-xk-120-se-dhc/

Got to love the US- windscreen wipers don't work but that's fine as they're not required.

That looks like so much fun and for peanuts!?!
Do such tours ever still happen or have you all grown too old and comfortable? Does that big broom wagon still exist?
