  • “I got into riding track bikes around 2004. I took a risk in 2005, quit my day job and formed a group named Fixedgearlondon, we built hundreds of custom fixed gear bikes for the emerging fixed gear riders who were from all walks of life. Our crew expanded and we started an international magazine called “Fixed Magazine” initially I was the editor, but I eventually became the photographer, writer, designer, distributor and publisher. . I got to travel all over the world with my track bike, introducing the culture of fixed gear and teaching many people how to ride. I became fascinated with the fixed gear bike and everything that I could learn about this seemingly perfect machine. (did you know that the first 30 years of the “Tour De France” was raced on fixed gear bikes?!). . Finding myself at the forefront of the emerging fixed gear bike culture and having an outlet such as Fixed Magazine, helped me to develop a vast knowledge of all things fixed gear. I used Fixed Magazine to help push that knowledge out to the emerging Fixed gear communities around the world. In 2012 I organized “Impetus Momenta” (Impulsive movement) at the Southbank center in London and spoke with my contemporaries about the “Ethos of riding fixed” and later that year I spoke at the London Design Museum for “Bike V Design". The last publishing project I worked on was with Chrome Industries, the Wrenched London City guide book was designed, photographed, curated and written by me in 2013. . I have been forming the idea of the “Everything Fixed” book for the last 10 years, I began writing and planning things out around 5 years ago. In 2013 I emigrated with my wife to the USA and this project (and Fixed Magazine) was put on hold. Recently I have had a few insights and reactions into the way that fixed gear culture has been developing. I feel like it is time to make this book happen and now I am raising money to publish my book
