Maybe yea. I have a pile of leather scraps and training as a cobbler (and an arts degree) going to waste.
Thinking to do basic repairs and start making some leather pouches, bags, maybe watch and cufflink boxes. Literally anything that I can make and use/sell. I'd hope to source synthetic materials toward cycling accessories if there is a market for that too - found it impossible to get waist/hip bags the size I wanted at a price I was willing to pay.
Will see how it pans out.
Nah that's consumer grade stuff. This is/was an industrial machine.
We called the grandson and he said it's one of a couple Singers that his grandpa has in the workshop. Apparently the grandpa, now in a hospice, is a cobbler.
One of the machines has been promised to a doctor/dentist as furniture, but hopefully I have my pick on which one I take.
If I'm lucky the other will be a 29K. The one in the pic looks like an ancient blake stitcher.
